Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey - 25 minutes by foot
The site of the present Abbey (begun by Henry III in 1245) has been the coronation church since 1066 and is the final resting place of seventeen monarchs. It is one of the most important and stunning Gothic buildings in the country and one of London's most popular tourist attractions as well as being a working place of worship. In April 2011 Prince William and Kate Middleton (now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) were married here.
